Description

2016
H 47 x L 28 cm at widest point (H 18.5 x L 11 in)
Wire, lightweight clay, acrylic paint, fabric, brass rod

This sculpture is the result of my explorations on the themes of memory and nostalgia. I was interested in how our experiences in the past, and how we remember them, affects our emotions and reactions to future events.

I strove to create a recognizable personality that could transport me to a specific place in time in my life.

How I Learned the Posting Trot: Ginger is also part of this series.

The fabric is a vintage scarf that has been hardened and is permanently affixed to the sculpture (Paverpol).

The sculpture is mounted on a solid fir wood base with a felt bottom to prevent scratches.
